My contact info is below: Mike Coleman colemanj.contractor@cotf.navy.mil Operations Analyst Location: Portsmouth, VA Description: GENERAL SUMMARY: Performs systems engineering, devlopmental testing, and operational testing for enhanced non-naval weapons systems. Must have knowledge of military publications and method for military publication changes. prepare test plans and coordinate players. Conduct Tests. Assess data. PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Provides advanced analytical and technical support to projects involving training, tactical/operational documentation, military systems design or other efforts requiring military operations expertise; 2. Researches, identifies, and recommends resources required for task execution and completion; 3. Serves as technical advisor to clients in assigned subject areas, recommending changes and identifying areas for further investigation; 4. Develops and tests new systems or updates existing systems to meet client needs; 5. Identifies and recommends emergent relevant technologies that may result in improvements to current processes; 6. Writes and updates project documentation including system procedures, presentations, and training materials; 7. Provides work leadership to less-experienced personnel; 8. May serve as a technical team or task lead; 9. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies and subject areas; 10. Participates in special projects as required. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 1. Typically requires 5-8 years of related experience supporting military operations; 2. Bachelor¿s Degree in a related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience. SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of the principles, methods, processes and applicable regulations involved in supporting military operations. WORKING CONDITIONS: The work is typically performed in an office environment, client site, or military facility, which requires proper safety precautions; work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes, or equipment.
